Email I received on behalf of the DVCRA; Dear neighbours and friends, In the past months, neighbours throughout Cabbagetown have witnessed disturbing activity, such as drug deals and acts of prostitution being conducted in laneways, the hillside along Riverdale Park West, and parking areas and side streets. This spring and summer seems to be more problematic than past years. Many of these events go unreported to police. Spring cleaning in Toronto

On Saturday, April 21st, groups across Toronto are gathering to clean up public spaces in their neighbourhoods.  The DVCRA has registered as a community clean up hub and we need your help! Please bring your gloves, maybe a small shovel, broom or dust pan if you have one and we’ll give Cabbagetown a good spring cleaning! We have some litter bags from the City (though feel free to bring your own) and will hand them out at on April 21st at 10:00am at the North East corner of Winchester and Parliament (the old Coffee Time). Following is an email that was sent out by the local Don Vale Cabbagetown Residents Association that I present to you for your review.  It’s the January edition of Cabbagetown speaks!
