Today’s hidden gem comes in the form of Winchester Kitchen and Bar, a second-floor hideaway in historic Cabbagetown. We’ve heard of the site before; it was reopened just last March to little fanfare other than neighbourhood rumblings. I had recently added a new business listing for Winchester Kitchen and finally went down to see the place yesterday. I was pleasantly surprised that they maintained the interiors as close to the original as they were. I was worried that the new owners might try to make the place look something it’s not.
