On Thursday, April 18th, the BIA will be hosting two community workshops. These workshops will engage with many popular topics, such as the importance of community in marketing and new-immigrant banking services. Both workshops will be held at different places and at different times. The chosen speakers for both events are true professionals in the field and have much knowledge and experience to offer.
Community Marketing with Nick & Hilary
Where: HomeLife/ Realty One Ltd., 501 Parliament Street.
When: 2pm-3:30pm
What Is Community Marketing All About?
The first BIA workshop will primarily focus on how to use social media to improve a business’ identity and presence in a particular neighbourhood. Community Marketing focuses on the needs of existing customers through person-to-person interaction, as opposed to Communications Marketing, which relies heavily on the use of media advertising to recruit new members. There are many benefits to using Community Marketing, most of which deal with loyalty, saving money, and promoting innovation. Although this particular BIA workshop will discuss the role of social media in this style of marketing, you will be sure to learn many other great tools to engage with the immediate community and launch a successful campaign.
Day-to-Day Banking for New Immigrants with Vito & Pat Speranza of TD Canada Trust
