Prepare for an incredible Cabbagetown summer, both inside and out, with this wide selection of activities continuing through to September:
Out-and-About
Division 51 Safety Walk
Sadly, a few days ago two women were held at gun-point in Cabbagetown during a robbery. Although no one was harmed, it goes to show how important safety is in our community. This Tuesday (today) and Wednesday, we urge you to join police officers from Division 51 on a safety walk around the neighbourhood:
Gordon Sinclair Lane — On June 25th, residents will explore an area where individuals involved in the drug trade often congregate.
Corn Camomille Lane — On June 26th, police officers will bring residents to a part of Cabbagetown troubled by drugs and violence.
ROM Walk
On Wednesday, June 26th, the second ROM walk of the season will commence, where residents will tour Cabbagetown, admiring the many graceful heritage homes of the neighbourhood. The walk will take place at 6pm, starting from Parliament and Spruce.
Councillor’s Walk
Thursday, June 27th, Councillor Pam McConnell will guide residents through the new parks and buildings of south Corktown, including Underpass Park, Corktown Commons, Pan Am Athlete’s Village, and the River City development.
Enjoy a Cabbagetown Summer in Leisure
If you’ve participated in a few (if not all) of the aforementioned walks, the next list of seasoned activities will surely beckon.
Stout Irish Pub
When the weather’s nice, why not relax with a pint in-hand at the Stout Irish Pub‘s summer patio. Choose from a great selection of domestic and import drafts, while snacking on a variety of delicious appetizers from the menu.
The Flying Beaver Pubaret
Honoured by Canadian Living Magazine as one of the top ten things to do in Toronto, the Flying Beaver Pubaret will not fail to impress visitors this summer. If you’re in the mood for some live music this week, buy tickets to one of the following shows:
