History: Prohibition Lane

I had mentioned a while ago that I will start a series of videos on the different names on lanes in Cabbagetown. This is the first in the series…

We have a spot light on Prohibition Lane today… History has it that a Cabbagetown doctor is said to have written more than 700 prescriptions for alcohol in one day during the 1900s when the sale of alcohol was prohibited without a prescription.

I couldn’t find the name of the doctor when I had searched but maybe one of you can or it might be better left unsaid 🙂
