There are many great things to come and see at Riverdale Farm this spring. Explore the farm’s 7.5-acres and experience the outdoors during a time of new growth and awakening. Walk the paths through the forest, sit casually by the pond, or tour the diverse vegetable gardens – there are plenty of family activities going on at Riverdale Farm and all are welcomed to join. If you come soon you will see the farm’s most recent additions, Border Leicester lambs and five-week old Tamworth piglets. Join Riverdale Farm for a great day outdoors this season and keep your calendars open on the following days:
Riverdale Farm Spring Cleanup
- When: April 2oth from 1pm to 3pm
- Where: By the Drive Shed, just past the Main Gate
- Gloves, bags, and rakes will be provided to all participants of this activity. Come out and help us get Riverdale Farm ready for spring.
Lower Gate Access and Late Evenings
On May 1st, Riverdale Farm will open the lower gates for access to Riverdale Park East. These gates will remain opened from 9:15am to 4pm daily. Later in the month, the Farm will also welcome guests later into the evening. As of May 28th Riverdale Farm will have extended hours on Tuesdays, staying open until 7pm.
Sheep Celebration

Farmer’s Market 2013
Beginning May 28th and continuing until October 15th, the Riverdale Farmer’s market will be opened every Tuesday from 3pm to 7pm. For more information, please email farm@toronto.ca.
13th Annual Great Big Enormous Afternoon of Storytelling Saturday
On June 1st from 1pm to 3pm, bring a blanket for a wonderful picnic with the Storytellers for Children on the middle road hills. If the weather is uncooperative on this day, the event will be moved indoors to the Meeting house.
